Everything is Okay

Listen to the Heartbeat….

Steadily it goes, never ceasing.
A rhythmic pounding, slower than mine.
It tells me she is there so everything is okay.

Listen to the muffled voices.

Chattering excitedly, singing quietly.
Reading me stories…
Telling me everything is okay.

Listen to the Heartbeat….

Steadily it goes, never ceasing.
Fading, but always there…
So everything is okay.

Leaving Friends and Faces

So often we are afraid to say goodbye…
But with every goodbye, there is a new hello, a new face, a new voice…
We reencounter old ones too
Greetings that haven’t been shared for not just days, but maybe even years

We never know what’s around the corner
But we must always strive to look forward
Seek comfort in the knowledge that there are people behind on whom we had an impact
And more importantly, who had an impact on us

It is human nature to move on and explore
We never forget those closest to our hearts, nor they forget us…
And that new face, that new voice, that really interesting new person?
May one day, become a nice old friend

Butterfly

The colours of thy wings,
Bring happiness to some.
Laughter to others,
And for the very few,
Something to enjoy within life.
But those few must not know the true butterflies.
For though their life is short,
They bring a great joy to others.
Let them live long,
And their beauty longer.

The Masterpiece

The Flash,
A glimpse of a man’s life,
Truth bore into his eyes.

Love at first sight,
Hope over vanity.
War raging,
Between each others’ hearts.

Thy cards of destiny,
Lie together.
All as one.
Within a person’s life.

Choose no side,
But your own opinion,
Befell, upon no betrayal
In thy soul.

Could this be millions?
No!
Only the masterpiece of life,
Death,
And your soul.

Two Worlds

Though the moon is waning
In my world.
The sun shines in the other.
Within dark depths, of oceans deep,
Breathing becomes slimmer.
But in the other world,
Not only tyrants reign.
Even at its great end,
Both worlds are mine.
For they are both one world,
A cruel and wonderful world.
My world.
