This story starts out slowly, but it turns into a 'page turner', with alot of twists. Just when you think you know what is going to happen next, you don't. The author does a good job with character descriptions too.
Petty criminal Francis Vaughn escapes justice and hides out in a local lodging house, after two days of his arrival there is a murder and a disappearance in the house. along with his attorney, Mr. Jellipot - Mr Hammerton /aka Vaughn sets out to catch the murderer and prove his own innocence.
i only read one chapter of this book it is not what i expected it to be. there is no way that the stories in this book are actually true. it should be considered fiction.read if you like the supernatural
i give this book three stars because although i thought it was a good mystery/ suspense it is very slow moving as far as the story goes. but i guarantee readers will not guess the ending!
