This work is a treatise upon the fascinating and valuable art of analyzing human character. It makes no attempt to teach, as such, the technical principles upon which this art is based. It is, rather, an attempt to familiarize the reader with the most important of these by the inductive method--by means of incidents and descriptions from our records and from the biographies of well-known men. Some effort has been made, also, to give the reader the benefit of the authors' experience and observation in vocational counsel, employment, and salesmanship.

tion--so far as their qualifications warrant--into lines of work which then offer the greatest opportunity. Only by such a system will each worker receive the greatest income possible for himself, and also the greatest benefits possible from the labors of all, thus continually increasing production and yet avoiding overproduction in any single line." People now are making the same mistakes as they are doing now.

The service of consultancy was popular in past as well.

i recommended this book for those who wish to get a know how about the reasons of misfits. in my opinion they apply as the same as in the past.

this books is recommended to all

i really liked this book, with some alterations u can use this book to your present. this is NOT just a past book.

The other commentor seems to have derived some big dissappointment regarding his own vocation after just reading the first pages. it is my advice to u to read full book before commenting.

the causes of misfits are the same that exist as today. The human beings are the same as existed in the time of the book.

Just the vocations have increased, more diversified. We face the same problems regarding our professions as did people in the past.

Crackpots abound! This is an interesting example of the sort of spurious "scientific" methods applied to business management in by-gone days.
