facial muscles.

Constant repetition of the same kinds of thoughts or emotions finally makes permanent changes in that part of the body which is physiologically related to these mental processes.

The Evolution of the Jaw

¶ The jaw is a good illustration of this alliance between the mind and the body. Its muscles and bones are so closely allied to the pugnacity instinct center in the brain that the slightest thought of combat causes the jaw muscles to stiffen. Let the thought of any actual physical encounter go through your mind and your jaw bone will automatically move upward and outward.

After a lifetime of combat, whether by fists or words, the jaw sets permanently a little more upward and outward--a little more like that of the bulldog. It keeps to this combative mold, "because," says Mother Nature, the great efficiency expert, "if you are going to call on me constantly to stiffen that jaw I'll fix it so it will stay that way and save myself the trouble."

Anyone Who can say that this book was not good is a douche bag. This book was awesome! Anyone who says otherwise Are themselves being judge-mental. The author did say that some people might not fit exactly into one category, therefore may possess one traits from one of the other body types, and another trait from a different body type.
Peoples natures are determined from a very young age, and it is at this time when the dominant trait is visible. Some people are more genetically inclined to be fatter than some, and some people are genetically inclined to be muscular, it is through life that's these dispositions can be altered by the individual. Although they may be able to alter themselves somewhat, they remain true to their true nature. So anyone who has negative comments about this book is clearly illiterate.

The people who wrote bad reviews for this book are allowing their emotional biases to dictate the nature of their reviews rather than being objective. A person who is easily "offended" by objective labeling will never believe objective labeling is accurate, despite his or her own (ironic and hypocritical) labeling, which goes unnoticed or flatly denied by him or her. The book is very accurate in many ways, despite how one feels about it. Nothing is perfect, but this book is a good resource.
If you take this book literally you have completely missed the point. Moreover, you've failed to notice the date of publication. As a Psychology major, and current marketing and promotional analyst, for as absurd as some of this text is, it is just as logical as any other ways we have to describe human behavior. When genetics plays such a large role in determining preferences toward activities, mates, and talents, one would be foolish to ignore the biology between these differences. In all my schooling, research, and personal experiences I have found many, many, more absurd techniques for understanding humans than this. I will say rather than view this book as non-fiction assumptive science, view it as fiction. View it as a suggestion as to why we settle into the roles in life that we do, and consider the very under-represented role biology plays in it.
I think the publishers of this book should be ashamed of themselves.
In short: this is the first time I am writing a review of a book and it is only because I actually gave this book a chance- based on rating. So I decided to help out..It is by far the worste crap that ever tricked me into reading 30 pages of it. A horrible waste of time and honestly I feel dirty having read even the first chapter.

In detail:
It is not scientifical and it is not even literature, the authors simply write judgements declaring their opinion as a fact based on no argument or logic:
"It was no accident that "Ish ka bibble" was invented by the Hebrew. For this race has proportionately more fat people in it than any other and fat people just naturally believe worry is useless. But the fat man gets this philosophy from the same source that gives him most of his other traits—his predominating system."
what kind of connection is there between being jewish or fat or not worrying and based on what? Btw latest study shows America and Germany are place 1 overweight and its all caused by junk food commercialism at young age.

"Chubby gets into the parlor and passes a few of her sunny remarks"- is chubby also a medical term? because I'll tell you this: I do know "fat" worried, interesting and great conversationalists, who do not tell only jokes and do not eat large meals- unbelievable, I got really mad after the 5th paragraph rambling on how despicable fat people-"they" are how "we" should be aware of how to judge them on first sight.
And then we wonder how come Musollini and Hitler came to power..

This book should not be offered, not even for free, because its garbage propaganda which teaches people how to hate.
We should be learning how to understand and accept the "other" because in the end we are all human material who want the same, love, food appreciation- and this is scientific (Maslow). All that differentiates us are experienced events and which side of personalities our experiences shape. There is nothing alien about a fat man and we should definately not believe there is any science to labeling people out of insecurity or serious childhood trauma I can only imagine Ms. Elsie Benedict& co must have had.

The author makes the claim that a cerebral type must have a large head/brain and a disproportionately small, frail body. This physical structure is said to be the cause of the behaviors peculiar to the type. Yet all of the behaviors are exact peculiarities of myself and I do not fit the physical description of the type! I have a small head on a small frame. So how is that possible? The logic of this book fails. It falls into superficial generalities which fail the test of reality. If I happened to have a big head on a small body I would probably think this book was great and so very accurate, but fortunately I have a smaller head and can as a consequence comprehend that this book makes false claims.
It has contradictions. First they say not to jump to conclusions, then they say that these different types of people will always be this way with no variation.

This book is awash with stereotypes and veiled as being scientific. Supposedly you can analyze people by their body types. All fat people are jolly. Most Jews are fat. Most millionaires are fat. Fat people are the first to line up when restaurants open. I had to stop reading this one, it made me so mad.
